Erika Stahlman, International believes that the most meaningful places are conceived as complete works of design.

Architecture is never experienced in isolation. Buildings, landscape, interiors, furniture, light and objects shape one another, forming a single environment that is greater than the sum of its parts. The studio approaches each commission as a unified architectural composition, where every decision contributes to the clarity and integrity of the whole.

Every project begins by listening. The landscape, climate, history of a place and the lives of those who will inhabit it become the foundation for the work. Rather than imposing a recognizable style, the studio seeks to uncover what is already present—revealing an architecture that belongs to its setting and could exist nowhere else.

Guided by proportion, material, light and craftsmanship, the work values permanence over novelty, restraint over excess and authenticity over fashion. Buildings are intended to age with dignity, landscapes to mature over time and interiors to support the evolving rituals of daily life.

The studio designs places that are enduring rather than fashionable, personal rather than formulaic, and remembered not for individual elements, but for the completeness of the experience they create.
